High-speed steel roll materials contain relatively high alloying elements such as vanadium, tungsten, chromium, molybdenum, and niobium. The main types of carbides in the roll structure are MC type and M2C type. The carbides have high hardness and good wear resistance. Compared with traditional ductile iron rolls and high nickel-chromium rolls, the steel passing capacity of a single groove (times) is high, which saves the time of changing rolls, improves the operating rate of the rolling mill, reduces roll consumption, reduces production costs, and improves the overall benefits of the factory. .

High-speed steel rolls have good thermal stability. At the rolling temperature, the roll surface has high hardness and good wear resistance.

Since the core of the centrifugally cast high-speed steel roll is made of alloy ductile iron material, the roll neck has high strength.

The high-speed steel roll has good hardenability, and the hardness almost does not drop from the surface of the roll body to the inside of the working layer, so that the roll has equally good wear resistance from the outside to the inside.

During the use of high-speed steel rolls, under good cooling conditions, a thin and dense oxide film is formed on the surface of the roll body. This uniform, thin and dense oxide film can exist for a long time without falling off, making the high-speed steel rolls durable. Grindability is improved.

The high-speed steel roll material has a large expansion coefficient and good thermal conductivity. During the rolling process, the roll wears slightly along with the rolling groove. At the same time, due to the expansion of the high-speed steel material itself, the pass shape continues to become smaller. Cast rolls technical Process:

Modeling → smelting → centrifugal casting → cleaning → preliminary heat treatment → rough machining → differential heat treatment → finishing → packaging and delivery.

Temperature controlled cooling + annealing treatment after casting:
the microstructure transformation is more sufficient and the stress state is more stable.

The composition of the working layer adopts multi-element micro alloying technology:

Forged steel roll technical Process:

Electric arc furnace smelting → LF \ VD refining → ingot casting → annealing → cleaning → electroslag remelting → annealing → forging → post forging heat treatment → rough machining → preliminary heat treatment → semi finishing → dual frequency quenching or differential temperature treatment → cryogenic treatment → tempering → finishing → packaging and delivery.
