Rol ini digunakan sebagai rol kerja pada *stand* kasar (*roughing*) maupun penyelesaian (*finishing*) di mesin penggiling pelat menengah dan lebar tipe *4-high*, mesin penggiling jalur (*strip*) panas lebar tipe *4-high*, serta sebagai rol kerja maupun rol pendukung (*back-up roll*) pada *stand* pengerjaan *tempering* di mesin penggiling jalur dingin maupun panas tipe *4-high*. Proses modifikasi tersebut membatasi oksidasi pada permukaan rol, yang sekaligus mencegah terjadinya pembentukan pita (*banding*) dan pengelupasan (*spalling*) akibat kondisi termal yang ekstrem.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lmmworkrolls.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>produsen rol besi cor<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Permukaan yang lebih baik selama siklus penggilingan menyebabkan lebih sedikit kerak (scale) yang terlepas dari rol dan mengurangi kecenderungan material untuk melekat pada strip yang digiling. Berkurangnya kerak giling (mill scale) serta minimnya potensi kerusakan membuat proses penggerindaan (grinding) yang diperlukan menjadi lebih sedikit, sehingga memperpanjang masa pakai rol.
