Berdasarkan komposisi paduan awal dari ICDP (Indefinite Chill Double-Poured) standar, kekerasan karbida ditingkatkan melalui penyesuaian unsur-unsur lain, sementara grafit diperhalus dengan melakukan perlakuan modifikasi pada besi cair.
